What We Believe About ...

Man
Man was created in the image of God for the purpose of worshiping, serving and glorifying God. Man sinned against God, thus alienating himself from his sovereign creator. As a result, his nature is corrupted, making him incapable of saving himself and coming back into right relationship with God by his own merit or effort (Gen 1:26, 2:6, 17, 3:17-24, Rom 3:9-19, 23).

Satan
Satan is a real spirit being, a fallen angel who, under the sovereign permission of God, has been allowed temporary rule of the earth. He can be resisted by the believer through faith and reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit (Gen 3:1-5, I John 5:19, I Peter 5:8-9).

Salvation
Salvation is God’s plan of redeeming mankind from a life of sin terminated by death. Salvation is possible through the finished work of Christ on the cross. Salvation is through faith alone in Christ alone (John 3.16, Rom 10.9-10).

the Church
The church is the body of Christ of which Jesus is the Head and whose members are those who have truly received Christ by faith. Since all members of the body of Christ are united in Christ by the same Spirit, they should live in love, harmony and unity. The purpose of the church is to make Christ known to lost humanity, to make disciples, and to glorify God on earth (Acts 1.8, Eph 1.20-23, 4.1-6, Col 1.24-29).
